FlatSkin®

Ecologically convincing – a real innovation

A revolutionary new skin process combines extended shelf life, a particularly attractive presentation and a more sustainable use of materials: the FlatSkin® process uses product carriers made of cardboard from renewable bleached or rebleached virgin fibres* and film, which can later be disposed of separately.

The bottom layers are printed on both sides with low-migration inks and varnishes and are laminated with a polymer protective layer. A highly transparent barrier skin film fixates the product directly to the flat cardboard bottom layer. This makes for excellent vertical presentation. A peel flap makes it easy to open the packaging. After the product has been removed, the thin, lower plastic coating is simply peeled off the carton and disposed of separately. FlatSkin® is thus also convincing in terms of greater sustainability.

Safe, durable and attractively packaged under high-vacuum, FlatSkin® is suitable for a wide range of products. Whether sausages, cheese, meat, poultry, fresh fish, vegetarian patties and more – your product will  look particularly appealing with the revolutionary vacuum process.

Advantages:

  • Extended shelf life due to high-vacuum
  • Particularly attractive and eye-catching at the POS
  • Sustainable use of materials
  • Excellent machinability on all SEALPAC traysealers with FlatSkin® preparation
